A regional museum of history, science, the humanities, this hands-on experience takes the visitor through Texas history--from the hunter-gatherer society of the past to present day experiences of live animals, butterfly and hummingbird gardens and restored historic homes. Highlights include Texas dinosaurs, an Egyptian exhibit and the H-E-B Science Treehouse, where kids can do things like play music with laser beams, launch a tennis ball two stories high and surf the Internet. This is a great experience for all ages.
