Six Flags Fiesta Texas is a theme and water park located in San Antonio that reflects the heritage and culture of its southwest roots with sections like Mexican Town, German Village, 1920s Cowboy Boom Town, and 1950s Small Texas Town. The park occupies approximately 200 acres and features 37 adult and 12 children's rides. Fiesta Texas recently introduced 15 new rides and attractions. Featured was Poltergeist, a linear induction (LIM) roller coaster that launches riders from 0-60 mph in less than four seconds. A second new coaster was the forward-and-backward looping Boomerang. Also debuted were Scream!, a 20-story turbo drop ride; Lone Star Saloon, a million-gallon wave pool shaped like the state; and Texas Treehouse, an interactive water treehouse. The latest addition to the park is the Superman Krypton Coaster, the largest steel and only floorless coaster in the southwest, complete with six inversions.
